This is the title of a novel by the Norwegian author Alexander Kielland (1849-1906). And I completely agree green is the colour of hope.

Nothing can bring more hope than the spring!

Seemingly dead trees, brown yellow soil and dry grass are magically turned into greens of all shades in spring. The dead mineralized earth wakes up from its winter sleep.
.
All of nature is springing forth with hope. Hope of new life among the animals in the forest, hope of a nice summer with the dropping of the winter clothes in cold climate areas. GreenHope of soon seeing all the beautiful flowers again, of barbeque, or sleeping outdoors, walking bare feet in the grass, of hiking in nature or swimming in warm water, or just lying in the sand as the sun embraces you with light, warmth and life.
