There are moments in our lives when everything collapses and we feel as if we’re being pulled by negative forces, but there is one Source for our support, and that is Divine Grace. Surrender, acceptance, resilience, prayerfulness, mindfulness, and meditation help us rebuild the power within and pass through any storm. And we thank the Universal Source that the difficult days don’t stay forever in this world of continual change and impermanence.
Dharma is not religion. Dharma is the Order that governs the whole of existence. As we mature, we realize the higher truth of the power of the Order. We try to live life respecting those simple principles of love and gratitude, meditation and prayerfulness, and harmony and peace. We accept the Universal Law, “As we sow, so we reap.”
Thoughts are not just thoughts, they are invitations. We invite every situation and person into our life through our thoughts. It is not just a one-time thought. It is when thoughts are repeated over and over again that our brain structure is altered. Then vibrations are sent forth and connections are made to the matching energy fields. This connection brings happiness or sadness into our life. The choice is ours!
We have all read about celebrity suicides in the news lately. The number of famous people who are dying young, either through active suicide or passive suicide of drug overdoses and addictions bring the alarming increase of suicides to mind. Statistics show that the US has an increase of 30% more suicides in the last twenty years. We count the number of people who have been successful in committing suicide, but the number of those who are continually in a suicidal mode of mind, world-wide, is staggering. The one who lives in the grip of the disillusioned mind is already on the path to suicide. The person may live for 80 years, but that is only a number. The person is more dead than alive, deeply asleep and unaware of who they truly ARE!
Each one of us is potentially divine. In the womb of our consciousness, we are eternally carrying within us the ultimate peak of manifestation, the illumination of intuition. Intuition is the Universal Intelligence that flashes within us when, even for a split second, we are connected with that inner, indwelling spirit that’s part of each of us. The intuition flowers, it sparks, and it ignites our pure intelligence with information and knowledge unheard of.
Everything we need in life will come to us in its own time, provided we have found the center of our inner life and have reset our life compass in the right direction. If it is not set properly, then it is as if we are attempting to sail without a course, as a boat tossing on the turbulent ocean of life.

God is the most misunderstood and misconceived word or notion in the world. As such there is no word in the dictionary that can ever unravel the mystery that surrounds this one word, God . How can we define that which is unknowable? All religious conflicts around the world are born from this basic flaw of trying to define or explain the One who is beyond definition, explanation, or any verbal utterance.
Life is a neutral gift of the Universe to each one of us. It is infinite in its scope for exploration and realization. It is part of the human condition to feel a deep sense that all of life needs to be experienced. When exploration of the external world comes to a point where we have seen it, tasted it, and are still feeling the urge to seek and search, then a new horizon opens. This new, deep urge to find the ultimate answers comes either when we suddenly bump into a very difficult ordeal or situation of life, or when we come in contact with a holy person who inspires us by their very presence to begin the journey within.
The Vedic Rishis and Masters call our attention again and again to first understand the basic reality, to just begin to feel the Presence within, the Presence of “Am-ness.” The existence, the “Who am I?” This is the most wondrous pilgrimage of humanity from human to being, from man to God, from somebody to no-body.
Do you think you have a brain in your head, well that is true, but science is telling us even the heart has a brain! So if there is IQ Intelligence Quotient, then there is another intelligence of the heart, EQ Emotional Quotient. As such if we are head smart (IQ) we can make money and earn false vanity, but if we are heart smart (EQ) we will balance our life and be happier at work, business or in our personal and family relationships. Gradually the world is shifting towards learning Emotional Intelligence, to become more empathetic, loving, and caring, and being good human beings to lead at work and in our family, creating a sustainable world. Yes, the heart is calling for our attention. Let not technology rob it! Time for our Inner Journey!
Do you know why all your success and possessions can’t make you happy and why some mistakes and guilt steal your happiness? Do you know why things that went wrong in life bother you and keep you brooding over the past and worried about the future? It is due to your inability to release your negative emotions. You cling to them and keep complaining how life has not been fair with you.
Every struggle we go through is only to strengthen our wings so that we can achieve the purpose for which the Higher Intelligence has brought us to this earthly plane of consciousness. Our greatest obstacles and pains are nature’s way to prepare us for our greatest good. A little baby bird tries with all its might to free itself from its shell, and sometimes makes a long struggle. This struggle, although difficult for a human to watch without helping, is absolutely necessary for the young bird’s physical health and future growth! Sometimes struggles are exactly what we need in our life. If God allowed us to go through our life without any obstacles it would cripple us. We would not be as strong as we could have been. We could never fly.
Water is one element of Mother Nature that can retain what we communicate to it; it basically absorbs those vibrations and preserves them. That’s the wonderful thing about water; it has its own intelligence and can maintain our thought and word energy. If you speak sacred syllables of mantras to water, the water gets more and more sanctified, more and more energized. If you drink such water it’s more like energizing your body. Most importantly, because our body is 70% water, we have to be very careful about what we take in because our body absorbs words, thoughts, emotions, and feelings very intelligently.
The fear of the future comes from the fact that we are not able to see life as an ever-unfolding process toward a Higher Consciousness. It is lack of trust in the Divine and in the power of the higher mind within that makes us myopic.
It is only on the surface, at the periphery, that we see the world of randomness, but deep at its root, the dance of life is in perfect harmony and balance. The Divine designer has designed this unique creation with LOVE and connected everything together; nothing is separated from the other. The level where matter and energy play the dance of creativity is the quantum level, the root of the tree of life. Here is where the essence of life happens, and then the flower blossoms, fragrance spreads, bees come running. They take away the essence, the honey. The flower smiles, the bees sing and dance, the universal ballet continues. This is the sacred dance of the cosmos that is LOVE.
There is an eternal fire within each of us, which symbolically represents our innate divine Self, which is self-illumined. It is symbolically represented as fire or light. There is the fire ritual called yajna in our Hindu tradition. This can be a very powerful form of worship and inner cleansing. There are two ways to practice this internal fire ritual; one is mindful eating and the other during meditation.
I was recently invited to speak at a global business conference in New Delhi, India. There I had a wonderful experience of seeing how each and everyone is busy exchanging their business cards, and once the card is handed over, the person receiving it reviews it with attention and then looks at the person as if the person is rated on the basis of his success in life! I noticed that for those who have touched some peaks in the world of business and money, they were surrounded by many people asking for a photograph with him or her.
Laughter is “God,” for we are born from the One Source, and the Source is Pure Existence, and Pure Consciousness, but more so, Pure Bliss, Joy, and Laughter! When we are most happy, we just laugh and laugh and with laughter we express the inner purity of our essential blissful nature.
So long as we are living and working in society, it will be necessary to wear the mask that society wants to see. But we need to remember always that our spiritual quest is an inner journey. How can we maintain constant awareness of our spiritual journey while also knowing when to wear our mask of practicality?
