Release, Believe and Awaken – By Joanna Dumont

Release, believe, and awaken…what is your soul’s origin? Where did you first make contact with physical life? At what point did you decide to manifest into this world, or was it another? Are you an earth angel or did you originate elsewhere?

How to Manage Worry: From One Loop to Another – by Kat McCarthy

Kathleen McCarthy

Do you know those annoying songs that get trapped in your head? The ones you can’t stop listening to because they play unbidden, over and over again in your mind? I am pretty sure that the mechanism that allows that to happen is the same mechanism that allows us to maintain our worry loops. You know the ones? Things that you worry about over and over and plays unbidden in your mind that you can’t stop listening too? Little loops of thought or music that replay for no other reason but that they can. We don’t usually agree to listen to worry loops or song loops – it’s not a volenteer thing.

Quiet Mind and Full Heart – By Bob Rush

To listen truly is part art, a little science and a big sprinkle of magic. I, for one, need practice, practice and more practice in honing this delicate skill. I hear a lot but in many instances, I’m not listening. Why?, because I am way too wrapped up in the hamster

Give Good Ear – by Tori James

I’ll never forget Emma Watson.  Let me take you back to the summer of ’74, Zoar, Ohio.  I was 11 yrs. old and spent a lot of time alone exploring, experiencing the woods, streams and farm fields. One day I discovered a new pasture.  I stopped to admire and hopefully pet a horse.  While standing on the bottom rail of the fence I heard someone say, “Hello, hello, hello.”  I looked around-no one, nothing. Then a high-pitched screeching  “Hello, HELLOOOO.”

What Would Melanie Hamilton Do

Annette Rochelle Aben

What would Melanie Hamilton do? Whenever I find myself in a quandary, I ask myself this question; for you see my favorite character in the classic film Gone With The Wind (GWTW) always has been Melanie Hamilton! Oh sure, Scarlett refers to her as ‘mealy mouthed…’ well that’s because she’s Scarlett Katy O’Hara! TA-DA! I however

Rebirth is the Reason for the Season by Annette

Annette Rochelle Aben

Rebirth is the reason for the season. I have found that the more I pay attention to the sights and sounds of the world around me, the more astounded I am at the beauty and magic that exists.     In the great State of Michigan, where I reside, we are shaking off the snowiest, coldest winter in our history. There were days when I would gaze longingly out of the back window of my office only to wonder where the snow ended and the yard began.  This not being a ‘normal winter’ for me I soon shifted my thoughts and musings to what must be going on underneath it all.  If watching the snow lay about wasn’t doing anything special for me perhaps imagining what all that melting snow was doing for the ground beneath it was more intriguing and indeed it was!

Friends, Neighbors, Aliens, Lend me your ears???

Annette Rochelle Aben

Listen, the baby’s crying, the dog is barking, a car is squealing its brakes and the clerk at the store just asked if you had any coupons or bottle receipts… Is this just something you heard, or weren’t you listening? What does it mean to listen?  Does it mean something different than to hear?  Can we hear what someone says even when we aren’t listening? Does it even matter that there might be a difference between listening and hearing and if so what could it be?  Are you listening to me?

Listen With Your Heart by Lamisha

On any given day we are all bombarded with thousands of messages, tips, advice, and the like that are all telling us to buy, change, sell, start, or quit…something.  Commercials, articles, news reports, and seemingly sound advice from friends filter into our consciousness with generally good intentions that can leave us feeling confused, frustrated, and disconnected from our true selves.
