So, has your life turned into the vision you had for it? What if it hasn’t, why not? Well, I guess part of that could be because of other people. But this was your vision, right?
Ok, so you have a new year, let’s get you back on track for having that vision you wanted, shall we?
First, you will need a note pad, pen, rosemary and some good music. Not that soft relaxing music, something good, that makes you think. Something that you want to turn up and wake the neighbors. Turn it on and turn it up to party level,
Ok, on your paper write: What I Want In My Life. Then create four columns. Label each column with one of these words: Love – Life – Career – Home.
Then in each column, fill in what you envision connected to that word.
Do you envision a passionate relationship with someone that you can just relax with or do you want that lumberjack that just carries you around the house all day? What do you want in your love life? Be real. Do you want a hot passionate lover or just someone who can spend some time with you?
Move on to the life section. What do you want your life to look like? High pass, quick moving, traveling a lot, or do you want a nice place to just cuddle up; slow pass life?
Then career. What do you really want to? Not the job title, but what type of work do you want do? Care for other people? Maybe sell something? Fill in every detail.
Now, what type of home do you want to have? A nice brick house or maybe a condominium? What about an RV so you can pull up stakes and move when you want?
Now take the rosemary and rub the back of the paper, completely three times. Each time saying, “This is my vision and will come to real life” each time.
Now go into detail as much as you as your vision can fill in.
You’re not done. Remember those magazines that have been collecting dust on the coffee table? Yep, the ones that came in the mail and you thought it would make you look fancy to just lay them on the table to impress the visitors. Grab them, some poster board, glue, scissors and any other crafty supplies. This will all become your vision board and you can sparkle it up as much as you want.
Begin flipping through the magazines and as you find something that fits into one of your four columns, cut it out and stack it up. Next, grab your glue, and affix your list in the center of the poster board. Begin by the placing pictures around the list, then glue them down and decorate to your loving heart’s desire. Remember this is yours, so make it just that! Forget what others will think of it, it’s not their vision.
Now that you’re all covered in glitter and have a wonderful vision board, what’s next? Well, now we need to look at your life. Where do you spend the most time doing mindless things? In your office? Perhaps in the living room staring at the TV? Maybe in your a dining room writing?
Ok, go sit down there and look where it is that your eyes look at? It could be that blank wall, right beside the window. You just thought would bring you some light in, to inspire you. Great, now put that vision board up there on the wall.
As you go through your day and find yourself daydreaming or mindlessly thinking or watching that box, turn your attention to your vision board. Your subconscious is attracting where you are placing your focus and you have to choose. What you have put on that board, needs to be in your line of vision. It holds what you want. Every time you turn up your music and think about what is on that board, you are just adding to the energy to the board.
This will bring you the vision you want, the real vision you want, not the one you duck taped together.
