Is Our Inner Vision Distorted? – by Shuddhaanandaa Brahmachari

Our mind mirrors to us, everything of the external world. In simple words, it is the mind that is our world. We see, or perceive the world only through our mind, and just as glasses with grease and dust on them distort our ability to see things right, so also our mind, trapped in the groove of our distorted subconscious programming, never allows the beauty of the Present to be experienced.

It is very difficult today to not get caught up in the distortions of our mind, for today’s society appears to be a sick and insane one. If the outside looks to be in turmoil, the only option we have is to change our inner vision.

Modern science confirms today what the sages of long ago discovered in their inner research: Our thoughts and beliefs create the world that we live in. Science has also proven that thoughts are not just thoughts, but are vibrations of energy with each thought having its own frequency. All the distortions that we see in people the world over are caused by their minds vibrating in a lower energy field with lower frequencies. We can compare individual mind and collective mind, and individual consciousness and collective consciousness.

If we are truly interested in seeing a world free of all the distortions of disharmony and the tyranny of instinctive passions or destructions, then we need to slow down, pause, relax, breathe and try to attain a calm state of mind and relaxed state of body. When the body is relaxed and our mind calm, our subconscious doors are opened. That is when we all need to empower higher thoughts and affirmations of light and love. For distorted subconscious programming can never lead to a life of order and discipline. It is the subconscious that drives us all of the time. Hence, we have to work to change our programs, our conditions, our distorted perceptions and the constructs of our brains. That is the permanent solution that can blossom in its own time-space dimensions.

Changing our distorted perceptions and programs is like trying to tune in a particular radio station. Even if we come very close to it, the sound will not be as clear as we expected it to be till we continue fine tuning to the exact frequency. That is what we need to do with our own distorted subconscious programming. We need to fine tune it to be in harmony with the higher frequencies of light and love.

Let us not give our energies to what is wrong in the world within and without. It will only demean our purpose of life. Let us never forget the maxim, “as you think so you become.” Let us be watchful, mindful, alert and aware as to what is going on in our programmed mind. If we hear distorted noise, let us consciously, lovingly fine tune the mind to the music of love and harmony. Then all distortions that are nothing but the output of our pre-programmed brains are restructured, rewired, and reorganized to dispel all dark forces that distort our vision. Then we can see clearly to usher in light and right vision of peace and harmony, the bliss of divine union.

Om shanti.
