This year is winding down and I have taken some time for reflection. It’s all good. Not that everything that has happened this year is stuff I wish to repeat but in the here and now, I am no worse off for the wear. It’s all good.
I was chatting on the phone with a friend this morning and while listening to her describe her life (which just happens to be in another country from where I live) I began to appreciate our differences as similarities. It’s all good. She may pay more for food, but her family earns more money to offset the costs. It’s all good.
Yesterday, another friend took to social media to ask people to send support to her family, as her brother had experienced a medical emergency. It’s all good. They got him to the hospital in time to treat him for the heart attack and he is on the mend even now. It’s all good.
Our part of the country was slated for a wicked winter storm yet the City in which I live, has experienced very little in the way of a storm. It’s all good. Of course, it’s cold, windy and been rainy on and off but we dodged a weather bullet. It’s all good.
I guess what I am saying is this, no matter what happens, has happened or will happen, if you are able to look at in retrospect, it’s all good. Everything that occurs is a part of our lives. We do not have to like all of it, nor do we have to want to go through it again. Lives are made up of various emotional moments, thoughts and experiences. They are the moments that fill the seconds which tick away the minutes of hours. As sure as it had a beginning, it will have an end, and that means it’s all good.
