Live and Laugh Well – by David Little

How do you feel when you are in a state of joy? What is it that gets you there? When you’re with people you like or love and are telling stories about your day or your life ; does that bring a sense of joy to your heart?

I love to sit with a bunch of good friends around the table, campfire or living room and have a laugh about our lives. Whether it’s an experience we’ve shared or spontaneous humor that erupts. Flowing like a waterfall, this energy is infectious and envelops everyone who’s present. How would that feel if you did this everyday?

I like to think that you could do this every day. What if you woke up and thought, “This is my last day on Earth and I’m really going to enjoy it.” This this is not a morbid meditation on dying ;it is a joyous examination of living. You could say to yourself “Today I’m going to live my life to the fullest, happiest, with the most joyous of possibilities, like there is no tomorrow.” Then you can spend the day giving thanks for everything good in your life with some humor and sprinkled with laughter

How would that make you feel? I know when I genuinely have a good deep belly laugh; there’s an energy that expands through my body, creating an aura of joy. Like a ripple in a pond it spreads to people around you and before you know it, everyone is laughing. This is so essential to your well-being and it’s like breathing or having a cool drink of water. Participating in joy and laughter is something that enhances your life.

So how would you like to add this to your life? What would it feel like to bring joy and laughter to your world and everyone in it? I like to think it would be amazing;I know that in my world I love to do this every day. Think of it as a meditation on joy.

~ And in the end the love you take is equal to the love you make.”~The Beatles

May you Live, Love and Laugh well.
