Living in Your Heart not Your Head! – by Shuddhaanandaa Bramachari

Do you think you have a brain in your head, well that is true, but science is telling us even the heart has a brain! So if there is IQ Intelligence Quotient, then there is another intelligence of the heart, EQ Emotional Quotient. As such if we are head smart (IQ) we can make money and earn false vanity, but if we are heart smart (EQ) we will balance our life and be happier at work, business or in our personal and family relationships. Gradually the world is shifting towards learning Emotional Intelligence, to become more empathetic, loving, and caring, and being good human beings to lead at work and in our family, creating a sustainable world. Yes, the heart is calling for our attention. Let not technology rob it! Time for our Inner Journey!

Heart is the most sacred place to live. In Chinese philosophy the mind and heart is treated equally. The wise bring the mind (head) to the heart, and think through the heart. When we think only with our mind we could lose the beauty and grace that is life! The new religion that will sustain this planet is to live with a blend of mind and heart. Heart softens our vision and makes us feel for the other, we become better human beings. The world, too, changes for the better! So the maxim is “Think with your Heart!”

Yes, it is not just our thinking head but our feeling heart that is important in life. Technology has created so much knowledge, but it has also stolen our simple values – our loving heart! Let us all use the technology only to fill the space with music of divine love, thoughts of mutual appreciation and positivism. Let us not forget we are co-creators of a beautiful world where all can live a simple, humble life of peace and harmony.

Let the heart and head trust that we are here for a few days and time is valued when we give only love to others and fill their lives with positive light! That is the greatest gift we can share with all who have come into our life by karmic connection!

Meditation for Expanding Your Heart

People spend so much time on art, literature, and everything in this world for enjoyment and increase in knowledge, but also somehow postpone persevering through the practice of meditation. Only meditation can take us to our inner world where peace and beauty wait for us eternally. The outer anchors are only to take you to the inner, not to be pulled away from the heart of universal love that is your own heart. Bridge the gap between head and heart, and abide in the cave of your heart and experience the peace and bliss that never ends.

  1. Fill your heart with gratitude, and love will flow from your heart to the whole of existence. Practice meditating on your heart center and allow the intelligence of your heart to guide you and not the mechanical brain. Happiness is the fruit of the integral life of body-mind-spirit in harmony with the inner and outer environment!
  2.  Fall in love; fall from head to heart and start experiencing love, feel love, and be love. When you live love, you can’t pay so much attention to the mistakes of others or spend so much time complaining. You will be filled with some mystic vision, as if you are here only for a few days, and will experience God love is your sole purpose of life.
  3. Put your hand on your chest and say, “I love you my heart for being healthy and sending fresh blood of pure love to every cell of my body.” Feel the celebration of your heart and cells and enjoy the silence.
  4. Take a deep breath, let your eyelids quietly drop, feel your whole body as vibrations of light move within, and go to the silent zone of your heart. Be there. That is your true Abode of Peace. Feel grateful for the numerous gifts of God in your life. Affirm all is well as long as your heart is with the Lord. His Grace is boundless.
