Put Hope into Motion: Take Action – by Laurie Seymour

Are you willing to take action to put hope into motion?
Hope is not a static, passive state. It is dynamic, alive with the effervescence of champagne. Hope becomes transformative when you connect the feeling of hopefulness with your inner guidance.

My teacher used to respond to people saying that they hoped something or another would happen by saying “hope hands-210x270died”. I realized she was bringing to light the tendency to get stuck in hoping for what you desire, passively expecting something to be different just because you want it. Her message was to pay attention to and align with your inner direction, then take action accordingly. This asks for your willingness to release your own expectations of the way you want something to happen.

The energy of the universe is constantly in flux.  My experience is that inner guidance is available at all times.  This gives me the ability to respond to life’s changes rather than to react without awareness. I know that I have removed myself from this partnership whenever I start to feel frustrated, anxious or out of sorts. Those are my personal cues that I have stopped paying attention to inner guidance. I am caught in expecting something or someone to be different. I want to fit the situation to my requirements instead of discovering a new direction.

It turns out that the Universe has its own timing and its own game plan. Oh yes!

In orderinspiration_by_augenweide-d5dzibp 767x421 for me to connect with this plan and play my part, I have to be an active participant. This means asking for direction and listening for the right timing to take action. Have you had the feeling of someone unexpectedly coming into your thoughts? When I reach out to them, the importance of the timing becomes clear. They had a sense to connect with me or they had input that I needed. It’s also shown up when I’ve sensed the importance of attending a particular event, and go forward without knowing why. New paths have opened up from this kind of willingness to act. I have learned to listen to the communication of my inner self, trusting that following this with discernment places me in the flow of life.  I don’t sit back and hope for something. Yet I feel trust as I take action guided from within. I feel the potential contained in each moment.

Is there something you are hoping for in your life? Give some quiet time for reflection. See what action is needed. Pay attention to the timing of when you are to act. Right action always has right timing. Learn to sense that feeling of rightness in your body. You won’t have to force it. It’s where you feel supported from within in taking the next step.

When you are aligned you feel an inner grace. Life works.

Great article Laurie. The Universe certainly does have it’s own plan and it’s own timing!
