Stepping Out of Fear – by Danielle Hughes

What do you do when the whole world turns upside down? Do you continue on as you were and struggle with it? Making the expected choices, following the expected path, but everything just crumbles in your hands?  If the world is turned upside down? It’s time to turn yourself around.

We can easily fall into survival mode, falling into patterns and getting into the comfort of what the world tells you is the right way to do things.  Go to school, get a job, work hard and everything will fall into place but what happens when it doesn’t?   I know that feeling. I have walked that path done what was expected and yet my world has been in survival mode for over a year.

So, I took drastic action. I quit my job with no plan other than trust and faith in the Universe.  I always had a plan and eventually wanted to move to a full time Holistic practice and time to complete writing the stories I have inside my mind and spirit, but I was not ready to take that leap just yet.  Letting go of my full time work has a challenging decision and one that I put off for a long time out of fear.  I feared not having a stable income with no plan, but my work situation became one where I was not getting paid on pay day or having proper communication on when I would get paid. This situation caused so much stress that I could not function. Each day was just about getting by and figuring which bill to pay and would it be enough to get through until the next time I may or may not get paid.  It became a vicious cycle and had to end.

I have been officially unemployed now for just a short time but in that time I have made so many wonderful connections, I have still been able to pay my bills.  The Universe provides, yes we have to do the work but when we open ourselves to the possibilities they truly appear.

I am ready and open for all of the possibilities. Are you?
