The Long and The Short of June – by Annette Rochelle Aben, Editor

June, this is the month where the first three weeks contain the longest days of the year. Then, just as we flip into the summer season, those days start getting shorter. Yet, during this time of year, we go full out packing as much activity into every minute as we can. As summer progresses, we won’t even notice the sun setting a bit earlier each day and perhaps rising a minute or two later.

To me, the long and short of June’s energy is more about making the most of our time, regardless of the length of our days. After all, we will remember what we did longer because of the fun as opposed to how many minutes we had each day to create some fun.

Kick off the new season with both boots in full flight. Embrace however much time you have for the precious gift that it is and enjoy yourself to the fullest!

You are right about this, Annette. Just as we get into summer the days start shortening. We are in winter here in Southern Africa and the days are really short now.
