The Mysteries of Yesod – a classic – by Andreas N. Bjørndal

You can listen to an audio version of this article, look further down.

I have picked yet another classic from my bookshelf.

This is a must for the seeker on the spiritual path. Omraam Mikhaël Aïvanhov did not write books, but his lectures are collected together and made into books on different topics.

Yesod in Hebrew means foundation or base. This is a book of the importance of purity on all levels. The old Egyptians priests had to start as web-priests learning about purity before they could enter the temple.

If you are going somewhere nice, meeting your beloved or having guests you take extra effort to make yourself and your home clean and nice. The same is important if you prepare for spiritual work.

This book teaches you not only the immense significance of purity, but turns it from some kind of repression to a joy and liberation. We have a sense of wellbeing and vitality, we know when we feel vital and healthy or not, in this book you learn many ways to improve that.

This is also a very good introduction book on the kabbalah and the main factors to improve your health.

It is a good introduction to the deep understanding and inspiring words that are easy to understand of Omraam Mikhaël Aïvanhov

Here are the parts and theme of the lectures in the book:

Part I – Yesod reflects the Virtues of All the Sephiroth
Part II – Purity 1 – Purity is a Question of Nourishment 2 – Sorting and Selecting 3 – Purity and the Spiritual Life 4 – Purity in the Three Worlds 5 – The River of Life 6 – Purity and Peace 7 – The Magic of Trusting 8 – Purity and Speech 9 – To Find Purity 10 – Blessed are the Pure in Heart 11 – The Gates of the New Jerusalem
Part III – Love and Sex
Part IV – Realization 1 – The Spring 2 – Fasting 3 – Washing 4 – The Real Baptism 5 – The Angels of the Four Elements

ISBN: 978-2-85566-109-4

About author

This article was written by Andreas Bjørndal

There is a common theme in much that I do: • I love to be an active part of growing awareness, insight, inspiration and spreading a unifying knowledge. • I care for promoting health and development, creating improved harmony and unity within the individual as in their relation with their group. • I search for a unified understanding across seemingly unconnected areas of knowledge including perennial as well as scientific. • I have coined the term "holonistic knowledge" which I share in my blog: • I write, blog, debate and teach around the world • I practice complementary therapies as homeopathy and acupuncture as well as counsel and supervise individuals, partners, couples and families to find the core theme in their lives and how they can resolve and master that.
