This month we are going to take a look at dreams. There are many books on the meaning of dreams, and I have yet to find two that would agree on the meaning of something in the dream itself. The best way to find the meaning of a dream is to look at it over a period of time. I suggest that you keep a journal of your dreams then go back over time and look at them to find your meaning. Many times dreams have more than one meaning.
When you look at your dreams and journal them, you can find meanings and answers within them.
As in the following:
• Better understand yourself and your needs
These many times are pointing out needs which are not being met in our real life and the dream is showing us what we need to do to have them met.
• Get answers to important questions…
This is a time when you wake up with the answer to a problem that has kept you worrying.
• Clarify your life purpose & direction…
Meaning, that when we ask that important question, what am I doing here, sometimes the dream world give us the answer, so pay attention.
• Discover creative ideas and visions…
Ever been thinking of redoing your house and then dream of what your new house would look like?
• Help resolve issues from the past…
This dream is your review streamed to help you let go of or to move past something that happened in your life that you are still carrying around with you.
• Identify important health conditions…
Doctors have noted many times when people are told they have a health condition, they tell the doctor, “You know I thought I did, and I dreamed it.” Again it’s the brain and the body giving warnings to you to get you to check out things.
• Learn how to reduce stress in your life many times when you have fun or do something you would enjoy…
Also many times you dream of past events or loved ones talking to you. Well, at times during these dreams, this is their way of coming to you to show you that they are still involved in your life even though they are not there in physical form. Yet they watch over and care for you. Many times they come to you when you need advice.
When entering in your dream journal remember to date the entry and leave room to go back and add information. I would keep it on your bedside table and write down the dreams you have when you wake up, then later go back and add to it when you remember more about your dream.
Many times people ask me how to remember a dream. I find that the best way to do that is to tell yourself that if you dream tonight, then you will remember it. This will take time but you will program yourself to remember your dreams and messages you received each night.
While we look at dreams we also have to look at nightmares as well. These are normally the dreams we remember more often because these dreams are normally a warning that your spiritual body gives you, saying that something is not right within you.
So what are your dreams telling you?
