How is your February going? I think of February as the Tween month. It’s a month where nothing much is happening and it is a great month for just catching up on some of the things that have been put off or getting out to play a little.
Let’s say you receive a call from an old friend who just happens to be lost. I don’t mean they are lost in the sense that their GPS no longer works, more that they are struggling with finding direction in their life. It can be very easy to get caught up in commiseration. Somehow, we feel that if we aren’t staying in the same place they are, that we aren’t showing that we care. To acknowledge what they are saying is one thing but what they require from that connection is a glimmer of hope. If both parties are wandering around in the dark, who is going to shine that light?
We are separate from our mind, but we do not perceive this. We are also separate from our body, but this is equally difficult to perceive. It is only when we awaken to the reality from within that we are the watcher of our mind and body that we begin to perceive who is the Watcher of our thoughts! We are not the mind, nor the body.
I used to create astrology charts from scratch. I always found it fascinating. But one thing I always wondered is if I was using it to justify something. Was it opening something up or closing me in a box? So now, I use the information knowing that the future is not yet set. My choices will create my future. Nothing is set in stone or “meant to be” as if we have no choice. We ALWAYS have choice. And now we have a choice given the information below to step bigger, wider and leap into whatever is calling us from within – that being we truly be – is NOW the time? Hell yah.
I was thinking about all the things I have, to be grateful for in my life. Sometimes it boggles my mind. What makes an even greater impression is how terrific that makes me feel, it is as though I cold float on air. Just a few minutes each day to place my focus on my blessings helps me get through the rest of the day. If I should encounter something during the day that could pull my focus into a place other than feeling blessed, I take a breath and focus back on my blessings.
No effort was wasted, no time proved ill-spent. Would that this were so for all my endeavors! My Quest to re-make my Mythic Adventure multiverse into a greater vehicle for interactive storytelling is proceeding smoothly. Every Role Playing Game (RPG) product I’ve explored thus far has provided me with something of potential value.
I’m so excited to be writing to you… and about Snowflake!
There are many snowflakes in my life at the moment! Like billions of them! It is -23 degrees below 0 Celsius and we have at least a foot of light fluffy snow. Now that is cold, but not unbearable. Where I live, the climate is dry, so the cold does not go to the center of your bones and stay there, no matter how you try to evict the unwelcome lodger!! Now saying all that, we have sunshine that is so brilliant it makes each snowflake glitter, so much so, you are completely dazzled! What are needed on the sunny days with all the snow are Inuit snow goggles, the oldest sunglasses in the world, without the glass.
As children, I’m sure we all made snowflakes, where you folded paper and cut out the design, of a snowflake. No matter how hard we tried you could never look the same as in nature. No snowflakes are the same. We were often told that as children but what we did not put together is that we are also like snowflakes, we are not the same.
What are you able to, what can you do? We have all been in situations we felt were too much, or that we could not handle and later looking back we wonder how easy it went. Let us explore what happened.
Never underestimate the courage it takes to go off the beaten path.
Following one’s knowing often takes us out of the comfort zone, feeling wildly out of control. However, it is here that we are most true to ourselves. It is here that we are most present, alive and engaged in our lives. It feels a lot like being on a wild roller coaster ride never knowing where it will go next and if it might fall off the rails. Excited exuberance and just a little bit nerve wracking.
